Angela and Tom’s Greek Wedding – Fitzroy Gardens
So I am really not sure where to start with this post. Weddings are a time to celebrate with family and loved ones. Sometimes the wedding stress, the flowers, the dress, the music, takes over and what really matters becomes a bit of a haze. But when, just 4 days before your wedding, one of the most important people in your life nearly gets taken from you, what IS important, becomes abundantly clear. It is the people that matter.
Nothing was going to stop Angela’s Dad, George, from missing his daughters wedding and he checked out of hospital just in time to proudly walk her down the aisle. As a photographer, I am privileged to capture these moments and interactions between people. As a daughter, I could feel the emotion behind the embraces. And as a wife, I could feel the love and relief in every glance that Angela’s mum, Dora, sent towards to her husband.
There were so many moments that tugged on my heart strings, you could see the pride in George’s eyes when he looked at his daughter and you could feel how grateful Ange was to have her dad by her side.
The love doesn’t end there! We haven’t even gotten to the connection between the bride and groom. Tom and Ange are so perfect together. They just naturally fit. He makes her laugh in the cutest way. And halfway through the day I realized Ange’s trick to make him laugh back, she would give him a little nibble. We have a biter! 🙂
I am so happy for you both and I know you will have a future filled with love and laughter (and few nibbles).
A big thank you to your family for welcoming us into your homes. And lastly, a thank you to my hubby, Greg, for shooting with me. He did a great job capturing the guys getting ready! I am pretty in awe of some of his shots!
So get your tissues at the ready…
